The year 1997 ended with Chip foose becoming the youngest ever designer to be included into the Hot Rod Hall of fame during the Peterson Publishings 50th anniversary at SEMA (specialty equipment market association) autoshop in Las Vegas. Chip released a line of 50 vehicles in total called the Hemisfear in 2007. In 2005 at the SEMA autoshow in Las Vegas, Foose presented his masterpiece, a customised Camaro convertable that would be produced by Unqiue Performance in Dallas in 500 car production. in 2003 TLC broadcasted a documentary on chips design process of his custome 2002 Ford Thunderbird also known as the Speedbird. Foose spend 6years working in a small 5000feet squared space with Lynee buying an aditional 5000feetsquared. His company specialises in illustration,graphics,design of car and all automotive related products all available to the public. Foose inproved his position in Boyd’s hirerichy until he became president of Hot Rods by Boyd where he designed worldwide known masterpieces such as the boydster 1 and 2 but his relationship with Boyd ended in 1998.Ĭhip started his company, Foose Designs, with his wife Lynne in Huntington Beach, California. In 1993 foose resigned at Sterenberger and soon found himself as a full time employee of BoydC oddingtons huge empire. After graduation Foose worked fulltime for sterenberger designs and parttime for doyde coddington. This dream was unfortunatly halted by financial difficulties and Chip soon found himself working for 4years at Clenet Coachworks until he had enough money to continue his schooling for a designer. In 1983 Foose was encouraged to attend the Art Center College of Design by Ford and Preston Trucker designer Alexis Tremulis where Chips natural tallent in design could be developed. by the age of 12, foose already had 5years of experience under his belt and even painted his first car, a porsche 356. Foose worked in his dads (Sam Foose, another automotive legend) shop where it was clear that he is following in his dads footsteps.
